My VERY Merry Christmas – Perfect Party Prep #veryparty

The gorgeous gang at Very HQ whipped up yet another stunning event just recently – showcasing the best of the best of clothes and beauty in stock this festive season. With a giant Christmas tree, and a tonne of sparkles, everything looked so beautiful, there was something even for the fellas and the kids!

BLOGMAS 4.jpgThe afternoon festive party was full of fab fashion finds and boss beauty bits, with a side of selfies at the selfie booth, and scrumptious snacks, including the iconic cakes with a huge edible Very logo on top, UNREAL. There were makeovers available with Illamasqua, lucky dip bags with skincare goodies in from Skin Doctors, and lucky dip gift bags for the kids in attendance (read: big kids, guess who ate all the Chomps?).

At the end of the event, all the bloggers in attendance walked away with a huge gift bag. So, inspired by what I fell in love with at the #veryparty and the goodies I walked away with, I’m talking you through the three stages of a perfect party look, with all the essentials you’ll need, that you can find at Very.

Party Prep

The first rule of party prep, you do not forget to tan in party prep. I’ve long been a lover of St Tropez Tan, and this bonus butt firming formulation has got me EXCITED.

You are going to want the most flawless poreless skin for getting up close and personal with Mike from accounts under the mistletoe, try these sponges for a better blend than Kimmy K can do.

If you’re not too confident in your shadow skills, follow this Illamasqua Sophie Technique. You can look good as well as do good by supporting The Sophie Lancaster Foundation with a pop of pink blush, and a jet black eyeliner.

Ain’t no party like a glitter eyeliner party, throw this on somewhere for good measure and get twinkling like the fairy lights.

Party Pretty

Of course, any good outfit starts and ends with the perfect pair of shoes. I.NEED.THESE.

For me, pink has never struck me as a festive crimbo colour, but the displays at Very HQ bent my arm. I think a pretty in pink look will have anyone glowing at this years festivities. I vote for this sheer but sexy understated lace blouse, hubba hubba! (similar here).

Be a little bit wiser baby, put it on put it on… A leather skirt I mean. My mum said I could be anyone I wanted to be, so I became a Spice Girl.

CLASH ALL THE TEXTURES. We’ve got feathers, lace, leather and now fur. Go with it. This sassy bag will go perfect with a cosy parka once the parties are over.

Post Party

If you get heavily involved in being merry and bright, you’re going to want a good pamper.

I’d say go for a gentle Gatineau skin peel to deep cleanse your pores of all the make up, Bucks Fizz and cheap buffet crumbs.

Be sure to enjoy a Bomb Cosmetics bath to soothe tired muscles from all the Nan dance two step moves you pulled whilst flailing about to Step Into Christmas (& did you step last night or what!?).

Skin Doctors will be your ultimate skin saviour with a massive vitamin C boost. The ampoules will “brighten and illuminate your skin” before your Nan finds out all you ate last night was 3 buffet sausage rolls washed down with a litre of Prosecco.

Links to Very are affiliate, though all opinions are my own  & the purpose of the post is for entry to their competition & to share my thoughts on the #veryparty & festive collection. Some images are sourced from the retailer, some are my own and the GIFS are from Tenor.
