Alex 9 Drawers – Organisation Tips

Sooooo not an entirely Christmassy post for my 12 Days of Blogmas, but I say it’s relevant – hear me out. If you don’t do a massive clean and sort out in the run up to the big guy coming down the chimney, who even are you?

Scouse Bird knows what’s up.

I went one step further and had my bedroom redecorated, because why not? So alongside getting a desk and a makeup mirror surrounded by lights (dream come true), I upped my storage game and got the bloggers essential must have, Ikea Alex 9 Drawers.

Excellent idea, but it made me realise I need more makeup, so I’ll be writing a lovely letter to Santa this year, I’ve been so nice (as always) I well deserve an absolute treasure chest of beauty bits under my tree this year.

Any hoo, heres how I’ve tidied up my drawers.

Two essentials, 50p cutlery organiser from Ikea, fits perfect! And, PUPPY PADS, this will keep your drawers lined and protected from makeup spills.

I separated my makeup into the top 5 drawers. I’ve got an every day drawer, base face, face powders, lip drawer and eye drawer. Palettes are tucked at the back of each drawer, and each tray is organised into sections e.g primers, bb creams, foundation, highlighter, blusher, contour, glosses, mattes, nude lips, colour lips etc.

Pray that I keep this up and also for the growth of my collection in 2018 x

I’ve organised the deep drawers in to hair products, hair tools, skin and body care. I didn’t find any storage organisation to fit, but I’ve lined the drawers because hell hath no fury like false tan spillages on white.

On top I’ve got 4 brush pots, a liquid face brush pot, big powder face brushes, little powder face brushes and eyeshadow brushes. I’d say it looks pretty cute, nice, tidy and clean. I’ll be sure to keep it that way. LOL.

How do you keep your beauty bits tidy? Hope I’ve inspired you, either to get organised or to shop – both are very very important at this time of year.
