I’ve shopped with e.l.f cosmetics on and off for years, finding some hits and misses, but as the brand has grown, the products are getting better and better. *Collective cheers and claps* my favourite makeup shop Superdrug is now stocking a whole range of e.l.f products!
I was recently very kindly sent some of the products for review, this post contains affiliate links, but all images and opinions are my own.
I am in love! This soft lip oil is lovely to apply before you do all your makeup, it’s a really nice way to prep your lips for application of your chosen lipstick. That being said, because it is lightly tinted and super glossy, you could wear this formula all day. It smells like birthday cake too, which is never a bad thing!
I was dubious about using this product because it’s a cream stick formula, I worried it would be “draggy” on the skin around my eyes. It is actually really soft and creamy so is not to rough on that delicate skin, the orange colour is a nice tone and is easily covered with concealer. This worked as a great primer to my usual concealer routine, even helping prevent the dreaded creasing around the eyes!
Delightful! I’m a massive fan of plumping glosses, but we’ve all met the ones that burn your lips off and make your eyes water. This soothing, coconutty and cakey gloss is so gentle and pretty! The tingle is very gentle, and is more minty tingle than set your face on fire chilli tingle, which I much prefer! It isn’t too sticky a formula which is always great in a gloss.
I’ve used matte liquid lips in the past, and really wasn’t a fan. This formula applies really velvety, the size and shape of the applicator is really nice too, it has a rounded edge and a pointed tip so you can work it to your cupids bow and edges of your lip. It dries really quite dry, but is not flaky or crumbly at all – this particular colour is very cool toned almost a grey pink.
Getting my glow on is my favourite part of my makeup routine, no matter what kind of look I’m going for, highlight is always popping’. This light champagne highlight is ideal for achieving a subtle “from within” glow, it applies nicely with a brush, and looks even better when you press it in with a damp beauty blender. The shade Starlight Glow would be beautiful on super pale skin, it has quite a white undertone with subtle gold flecks.
