Dermaloch Review – Vegan, Gluten Free,DEA free skincare

If you believe in the power of the universe, or even just coincidence, you’ll believe that sometimes, the stars just align.

Thats how I’ve felt recently, when Dermaloch kindly agreed to share some of their products with me for a review. This post is not sponsored, or guided in any way – images and opinions are all my own.

It’s been a funny few months, after a couple of big health scares, I’ve found myself heading back to where it all began, I’m getting myself back to nature, from diet, to exercise, crystals and meditation, I’m currently trying to be less toxic and more real with cosmetics too. So of course, when these vegan products, jammed full of some of natures finest offerings were offered to me – I jumped at the chance of trialling them out. It was like it was meant to be. Dermaloch products do not contain Steroids, Paraffin, Sodium Laureth Sulfate and Sodium Laurel Sulfate (SLES & SLS), Parabens, Petroleum Jelly, Diethanolamine (DEA), Phthalates or Synthetic Fragrances – perfect for me!

Both products are non greasy, suitable for use by vegetarians, vegans, and even people with allergies or intolerances to nuts, gluten, soya and dairy. The spray bottle of Intensive is perfect to use on your scalp or back.

The formulas contain something called Zeolite, something I’ve never heard of before. Dermaloch briefly explain this product as being a powerful anti oxidant rich in minerals, I wanted to know a little bit more. Zeolite is a volcanic mineral, which has powerful detoxing properties, which extend much further than benefits in skincare, if the right source is found, it can be ingested to support improving a whole host of health issues. Zeolite is highly detoxifying, so using this products for me right now is perfect, as that’s exactly what I am trying to do.

The Rejuvaderm moisturiser, is a very thin white lotion, that smells delicious. It is the most freshest but neutral smelling skin care I’ve ever tried, fresh in the sense it doesn’t smell synthetic fresh but natural almost scentless. Rejuvaderm is formulated to be safe for all over body use, including the face, many people use it for a variety of skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema, for me I just thought I’d like to try it on my quite dry and bumpy skin on my face.I was sceptical at first, that this really thin formula could have any impact on my dry skin, and feared it would be one of those products that runs out so fast because you need so much to cover all areas. I was so pleasantly surprised to find a little goes a long way, I’m about a month in to twice daily use of this bottle, and it’s still going strong for me. Overall, I’ve seen a huge reduction in pimples and spots, with the most marked difference being in the visible texture of my skin. To the touch, my skin still seems to be very slightly bumpy and dotty in places, but blackheads, enlarged pores and patches of dry skin have started to disappear, makeup wears much better on my skin now. This is by far one of the best skincare products I’ve ever used!

The Instensive mist, claims to be a deeply nourishing formula – “DermaLoch Intensive is a deep penetrating, fine liquid that sinks deep into the skin. Energising the skin and nourishing it with a host of proven ingredients such as Tea Tree Oil, Seabuck Thorn berry Oil, Sandalwood and Eucalyptus Oil.”. Intensive, is indeed just that – INTENSE. It smells absolutely phenomenal, in that kind of fresh clean zest scent that actually, I just want to eat. But I can’t eat it, in fact I don’t really use it – not on my face at least. Zest is definitely the key word here, it is super zesty and zingy, for facial use I think – it is not “not recommended” for use on the face, though it feels fantastic on my skin, unless my eyes are screwed tightly shut, it’s a bit harsh on the eyes.. Aside from that complaint, it is super hydrating, energising and awakening, if you can get it on without getting it in your eyes, it’s a brilliant product for waking up your skin and senses of a morning!
