I need more spa days in my life, I mean I could get by on 3-7 a week if I had to.
I wasn’t sure if I’d find a non toxic spa day, because if I haven’t rammed it down your throat enough already, I’m cutting back on unhealthy toxins and chemicals. When I found Formby Hall had a spa day package with only organic products used for treatments I knew I had to go!
This isn’t an ad, I’m sharing genuinely how good of a package this is, and it’s on offer for booking during October. You can book in October and get all this for £49 instead of £89, all treatments are suitable for pregnant women and cancer survivors. £10 of the cost goes to the Marina Dalglish appeal too.
ORGANIC SPA DAY INCLUDES:
A choice of one 55 minute Made for Life treatment from the following:
- Organic Facial and Massage (Cleansing and nourishing facial followed by a soothing back massage)
- Touch Therapy (Deeply relaxing soft touch to the face and/or body)
- Lunch from our Bistro snack menu (upgrades are available)
- Robes, Slippers and Towels

Now the bit that looks like an advert is out the way, how did it match up to my expectations?
First of all, the welcome was delightful, we were given cosy robes and slippers (they smelt nice and clean!) to cuddle in to while we had a little coffee and filled in our forms (outlining any health issues, preferences, allergies etc.). Following that, we met our therapists, myself and my Nan went in one room, with my Mum and Aunt in another. In all honesty, there’s barely a working body between us! The therapists however, were so so very considerate of all our concerns, I felt comfortable telling them I am deaf so would have trouble hearing them speak softly, and that I am self conscious of my scars. My Nan was able to explain to them about her vertigo and other things, they accommodated to her needs by lowering the table, and changing the therapies up a little bit so she could enjoy them from a seated position. We all thoroughly enjoyed our treatments, I could have stayed in the therapy room for hours longer than I did! My skin looked amazing after my facial, we all had a giggle at how our hair looked after our treatments, as we all came out the room with our hair a mess covered in a nourishing oil from our scalp massage – ASMR heaven!
The entire spa was very clean and cosy, from all the waiting areas to the cafe and spa facilities. It was great that they were all working for us on the day too. The views from the Bistro and changing areas are so serene, just huge fields of golf courses, which surprisingly is really nice to look out over.
Though they did have plant milks for my tea and coffee, the food package included here does not have any vegan options, thought that worked for me because I do have some dairy now and again I was happy with my feta salad. If you wanted another option, I am certain they would accommodate to you as for us, all staff everywhere were very helpful all day.
For £49, this spa day is absolutely worth the price. The consideration of the therapists and all the staff was so greatly appreciated, I’d be sure to visit again, they made myself and my family feel so comfortable, accommodating to our various disabilities was not a problem at all.
